Welcome to PlayfulPath OT !
Hi, I’m Jess!
Since 2010, I have been working with children on the Autism Spectrum or presenting with Developmental Delay, Intellectual Disability and ADHD.
I started working as an Education Assistant and then followed my passion to become an OT.
I love helping children and their families achieve their life goals and lead fulfilling lives. I particularly enjoy using relationship-based methods like Development, Individual Relationship (DIR) to give early support to young children, helping them develop their daily living skills and independence across all environments.
Every single child is different and so are their needs. For some of them, a little support may be helpful along the way to help them shine while for others, more consistent assistance over a longer period of time may be necessary to overcome more significant challenges.
The main thing I learned over the past years is that our kids’ ability to learn is incredibly powerful. As an OT, the most rewarding part of my role is when I witness the “magic” that happens when therapy is not just effective, but also engaging and fun. Every session is a step towards success, wrapped in creativity and positivity.
Together, we can create a path that is both playful and purposeful, guiding your child towards a brighter, more empowering future.
